      3. A small trivia on Sonar Kella. I don’t know the actual name of the Fort, but Sonar Kella in Bengali means Golden Fort. The nomenclature is quite evident when it shines like gold in the desert. Sonar Kella is a film based on Detective Feluda, shot in this Fort itself, by none other than Oscar Winning Film producer / director Satyajit Ray. The Fort gets this name from the movie.. 🙂

  2. Great post – Jaisalmer was already on my list and I’d even considered cycling there back in December before I got (happily) sidetracked and spent the week I would’ve cycled there in a village instead.

I’ll definitely get there someday, though. Rajasthan will always have a special place in my heart. I may go different places on various trips to India but I always stop in Rajasthan no matter what.
