Appreciate the magic around you!

There was that magical carpet which used to transport its master anywhere and then here is the colorful shawl which makes me armchair travel to the dreamland. A land of peace, hopes, gratitude, positivity, happiness, kindness, love and affection.❤❤

While on our road trip from Bikaner to Jodhpur, on the way, we found this small, non-recognized but attractive sand dune. Not always a preference to visit the most popular places. Many of such secluded destinations, unknown and unexplored gives you the feel which no other well-known places can do. Without a second thought, we climbed up the soft brown dune and spent a good hour or so to indulge in the beauty of the sand dune and the setting sun. Rarely some villagers crossed by and thought we were crazy to be just sitting casually on a dune! 😂😂

Make time to appreciate the small things in life. Practice gratitude for all those little things in life which are easy to be taken for granted or missed. Who knows what will happen the next moment? Do you care to say ‘Love you’ to your parents or ‘Thank you’ to the security guard? There are so many people who make our life easier but we never stop to look and appreciate them.

See the beauty in the rising sun, the rain drops, the fluffy clouds, the vibrant sunset, the leaves, the chirping birds, the flowing river, the insects and everything in nature.
You will see the magic! Trust me.❤

    1. Yeah, you are right! I meant it from Aladdin only! 😀 Arey, you just try. Not only sit but you can play or sleep there as well. It is so peaceful. That is the idea of appreciating the beauty of nature! ❤

    You are right Madam.. People should show gratitude for things they have got.. Gratitude is neither satisfaction though nor an excuse for lethargic behaviour..

    By the way, eager to hear your experiences of Jaisalmer and Desert Safari.. I went there as well, during Winters under sub-zero temperatures (I am a Chionophile), but let's hear about it from you.. 🙂 🙂

      Gratitude, kindness and love is the answer to most of our problems. We need to feel blessed every single moment.

      Yes, I will surely post separately about the desert safari. We too went in first week of December but it was not too cold then. I know your love for winters 😉 Will post it.

        Awaiting your post on Desert safari as well.. The place where we went had no trace of green, unlike the photograph of the place you have posted.. and the dunes were damn hot during the evening till the Sun was in the sky, even during December.. I hope your feet didn't get burnt.

        I guess you went to Sam Dunes, Jaisalmer. Usually dunes get cooler post sunset. You know traditionally people use sand dune as tandoor. They cook meat underneath the sand! Fascinating na?

        Naah…we were safe! 😀 Thankfully it was January last week hence bit cooler evenings.

        I think we went to Sam Dunes, maybe you are right. Wow.. That’s quite a logical choice theoretically, but cooking meat in hot sand would practically be an awesome experience.. Thank you for telling about it.. 🙂 Got to learn something new from you.. 😊😊

    1. Oh…it is a common site to see sand dunes in western Rajasthan. There is no particular place or location. You can stop by any dune to enjoy! Thank you for dropping by. ❤

  9. What a great place to see the sunset and appreciate the beauty in the world – I bet the locals went back home to tell their families all about the beautiful sight on the sand dunes too!

    1. Yes, it was absolutely stunning. These dunes are a common side in western Rajasthan. You can stop by for any! 🙂 It is quite usual for locals so they are not much surprised. But the locals were definitely amused to see us…LOL!

    1. Yes, I enjoyed every bit of it. Traveling is rejuvenating. Haha. We are restless right now and itching for travel! Hopefully soon everything will fall in place and we all can travel soon. 😊😊🤗

  17. Nanchi, I love that photo of you sitting casually on the sand dune! It is absolutely beautiful and magical! What a lovely post, my friend. I agree that we have to take moments to just absorb the beauty and magic around us. I sat on my front porch the other day and just listened to the sounds around me and they took me straight back to my childhood in the most innocent and wonderful way. The sound of the breeze blowing the flag on my porch, the swishing of the flag itself, and the sweet music of distant wind chimes was the most wonderful combination of sounds. I felt so peaceful! Now I need some chimes for my own porch so I can hear them more clearly. Thank you for sharing this post at my link party.

  18. Your post takes me down memory lane…. to Bikaner. A short weekend trip in August (what a coincidence)

    Such a pretty photo Nanchi. Your “colorful shawl” has added so much vibrancy to the place and your memories.

    Enjoying the simple things in life is over looked and taken for granted. The power they have to heal us is indisputable; only if we make it a way of life. There is so much to be grateful for starting with every breath we take.

    I am sure you had a good time doing something off beat and earthy 🙂

    1. Bikaner is such a serene place. Even though it is over shadowed by the popular travel cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur but it has its own charm. I loved it.
