“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” Robert Brault
It has been almost 4 months of lockdown with no sign of a diminishing graph! We should see the ratio between the total number of cases and people recovered (96%) v/s death rate (4%) in India. Pune announces yet another ‘stricter’ lockdown for 10 days. Do we have any possibilities of lowering the graph for these days? Political, Social reasons are taking a toll on the people with limited savings, daily wage workers, house helps, mall workers, hotel employees and more such people who have lost their job and have no alternate income. My heart goes out for them.

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” Eckhart Tolle
Just after reading the news of further lockdown, I had this weird feeling of helplessness. I could not think else but about all the things I should be grateful for. If you have a roof to sleep under, food to have and basic clothes to wear, trust me you are the most blessed person in this whole world. Daily affirmations are quite needed. Here are some of them I read….
- Be the incharge of your happiness.
- Allow yourself to be who you are without judgement.
- Trust that you are on the right path.
- Put your energies into the things that matter.
- Give yourself space to learn and grow.
Every minute, every moment matters. Who knows which is the last moment you breathe? Enjoy each minute with happiness, positivity and full of gratitude. Count your blessings!
Tell me, what are you grateful for today? Let’s spread positivity! β€β€
A very much needed post. Seriously it is distressing.

Hi Sumit,
This post was about me saying another stricter lockdown so forget going out; we can’t even go downstairs for a walk! It is frustrating. Hope this gets over soon.

Hello nanchi, u are absolutely right. Wise people say we should focus on what good we have done for others instead of what we have got. I daily feed lots of birds around my house food and water and that gives me so much satisfaction that at least I am doing some nobel deed. We are very blessed and should be grateful to God

I am grateful that at the moment, everyone I know, my friends and family in several different countries including the hard-hit US and India all are doing OK at the moment and everyone they know seems to be doing OK as well. I hope it stays that way. And I hope things improve for everyone soon. We are fighting this on many fronts with 16 vaccines in clinical trials and over 100 in pre-clinical studies (and lots of other therapies as well). And of course the one item we all have in our arsenal: care and prevention. It’s just a matter of making it possible for everyone else to do it as well.
Now that here in Canada we are moving out of the worst of it (of course there could be another wave), I’m feeling pretty helpless as well – how to get help to those who need it?
Do take care of yourself (well, all of you, readers too!) and hopefully I will be reading your entries about what the end of lockdown is like as well.

Wonderful thoughts. I also keep on thanking God for what I have but sometimes I tend to complain. The typical human nature.

Thank you so much, Namrata. Being grateful is a nice thing but we can’t be strong every time and to complain sometimes is okay, I guess. πβ€
