Happy Travel Face!

Always happy when travelling. Since 5 months at home; probably the longest when we haven’t travelled anywhere. But that doesn’t stop me from dreaming, planning and virtually visiting my favourite places. πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

Things are slowly getting in place and it has to be local travel this year. Which holiday destination are you planning to visit post lockdown? Let me know. May be it matches mine? Let’s see….πŸ˜πŸ™Œ

  1. Great photos and beautiful colours there. It’ll be a while before I do travel of any great distance. Things are improving a lot here pandemic-wise but other places are not doing so well. So like you I’ll be content traveling locally. I managed to get about 85 kilometres away from home last week though. Being limited to where my bicycle can carry me does a good job of ensuring I stay safe.

It’s funny but at the moment I’m not drawn to any particular distant spot now. I’m loving all of my nearby travel and exploration but going on a long trip sounds overwhelming even post-pandemic. I’m sure it’ll change, though. I *have* been wanting to get back to New York City again though. Maybe a train trip there once things get sorted out would be a good thing to plan on.

    1. Good choice, Todd. You are giving me cycling goals! Haha. Wonderful way to travel keeping up with the fitness.

Even, I think the same. We have so much to travel local and see places nearby. Yes, it will change soon and we get to travel without any constraints. NYC by train sound fun. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

      1. Definitely! And NYC by bike would be even more amazing. Daegan and I did it 8 years ago and were thinking it might be great to do it again someday. I remember we were talking about doing it this summer – back in February when this whole experience felt like it would last only a few weeks. How little we knew!

  2. I think everybody is learning about their home areas for now. It’s interesting what you can learn about your own back yard. πŸ™‚

It’s awesome to see you at ‘My Corner of the World’ this week!! Thanks for linking up.

  3. I’m hoping to head to the hills in Oct-Nov. Maybe a trek or paragliding in Bir Billing!

Love your photo! Surprisingly despite living in Mumbai the last few years, I haven’t heard of this place.

We would love to go to my hometown to spend some time with my parents and the hills for sure. We would prefer to drive down (read rule out public transport if possible)

  5. Travelling is the only escape from the chaos and panic that we have been living in. And the Hills are such a gorgeous place to find peace. I have family connections with Siliguri, the gateway to the entire range of hill cities such as Darjeeling, Gangtok, Peiling and North Eastern states. There are such lovely spots hidden far away from the crowd. Only unconventional tourists with the right blend of research gets to know about these hidden gems.
