- Built in the admiration of Rana Kumbha’s victory of Mamud Khiliji.
- It is 122 feet high and has 9 storeys with each having an individual balcony facing outwards.
- There are 157 stairs to go to the top of the tower.
- The architect of Vijay Stambh was the Rao Jaita. His name and three sons’ name who assisted him are carved on the fifth floor.
- The topmost storey features Jain Goddess, Padmavati.

Such a tall tower. Loved the fact behind it.
I guess this is the best part of our India. In the entire world, we have the greatest historical things which not every country has..

Hi Harsh,
Previously, I had planned for a European trip but it has to be postponed now. I am mostly planning to do domestic trips in India. It totally depends of the feasibility. I have Puducherry or Odisha in mind….:)

This is a beautiful building. Your details about it are interesting. I wonder why 157 stairs? Chance or a deeper meaning? A rhetorical question, of course.

Isn’t it, Ally? A beautifully, intricately carved building with precise 157 stairs! It is a mystery – may be with a meaning. Thank you for visiting my blog dear. It is always wonderful to read from you. 😊

The Vijay Stambh is really an impressive structure, given the fact that Towers were usually not that prevalent in India during the ancient or medieval times (barring Qutab Minar in Delhi)
Rana Kumbha was really an exceptional ruler who restored Chittorgarh and spread it’s boundaries, despite the destruction caused by Sultan Alauddin Khilji in 1303 CE.. He also successfully fought off enemies from different directions. I am unsure, however, as to who took the doors of Chittorgarh Fort back from Delhi, given that Alauddin Khilji opened that and took it away to Delhi.
Thank you Madam for showing yet another great place.. 😊😊

Nanchi, this is a really cool tower! And I love the history. I am always so baffled that people constructed these immense architectural creations so long ago before modern technology. It is awe inspiring! Thanks for sharing and linking up with me.
